User Experience at it's best

Solutions

We have done several years of extensive user research in the realm of street parking. Here are a few key learnings that are implemented in our system:

Paying meters is a big pain point, specially having to go back to the meter to add time. Also, pay by phone solutions currently require too many steps to setup; entering the zone number, meter id, license plate, etc. Versus simply swiping a credit card once at the meter. Our solution solves this by prompting the designated meter on user’s mobile phone upon arrival at the location. Once parked, paying is one click away via a smart phone.

Drivers think linearly throughout their driving journey, meaning not until they arrive at destination or very close to destination, they don’t start thinking about parking. So our system is designed to prompt users at the exact time and location when it comes to parking.

Drivers prioritize “Here” versus “There”, meaning “Here” is now at the current location versus “There,” which is more than a block away.  So any data presented to the drivers at “There” is distractive noise until they are 100% sure there is no availability or prospective availability “Here”. Our solution solves for this by three key features:

  • Effective default zoom with optimal perspective for immediate availability at current location

  • Meter guidance at every turn

  • Predicting prompter on occupied meters with the highest availability probability
